Related to Program Development
Development means any man-made change to improved or unimproved real estate, including, but not limited to, buildings or other structures, mining, dredging, filling, grading, paving, excavation or drilling operations, or storage of equipment or materials.
site development plan means a dimensioned plan drawn to scale that indicates details of the proposed land development, including the site layout, positioning of buildings and structures, property access, building designs and landscaping;
Infill development means new construction on a vacant commercial lot currently held as open space.
Commercial Development means any development on private land that is not heavy industrial or residential. The category includes, but is not limited to: hospitals, laboratories and other medical facilities, educational institutions, recreational facilities, plant nurseries, multi-apartment buildings, car wash facilities, mini-malls and other business complexes, shopping malls, hotels, office buildings, public warehouses and other light industrial complexes.
experimental development means acquiring, combining, shaping and using existing scientific, technological, business and other relevant knowledge and skills with the aim of developing new or improved products, processes or services. This may also include, for example, activities aiming at the conceptual definition, planning and documentation of new products, processes or services;
Clinical Development means the conduct of studies of a medicinal product in human subjects in order to—
Mixed use development means a building or place comprising 2 or more different land uses.
Commercial Development Plan means the written commercialization plan attached as Appendix E.
Development Program means the implementation of the development plan.
Initial Development Plan has the meaning set forth in Section 3.2(b).
Planned development means a real property development other than a community apartment project, a condominium project, or a stock cooperative, having either or both of the following features:
spatial development framework means the Great Kei Municipal Spatial Development Framework prepared and adopted in terms of sections 20 and 21 of the Act and Chapter 2 of this By-Law;
Research and development means (i) theoretical analysis, exploration, or experimentation; or (ii) the extension of investigative findings and theories of a scientific or technical nature into practical application for experimental and demonstrative purposes, including the experimental production and testing of models, devices, equipment, materials, and processes. Research and development does not include the internal or external administration of radiation or radioactive material to human beings.
Development Data means, with respect to clinical trials and other development work conducted on a Product, all data, results, information and other Know-How generated from or related to such clinical trials and development work, including preclinical, non-clinical and clinical data, reports and information, protocols, statistical analysis plans, methods, and Batch Records for all Products used in such work.
New development means development resulting from the conversion of previously undeveloped land or agricultural land uses.
Economic development means community action that directly leads to creation of more jobs or higher-paying jobs than were available before the action.
Development Team means the entities and professionals assembled to develop and manage the Project, typically including the Applicant, Owner, Developer(s), Co-Developer(s) and general partner or any other related entities in which the Developer or Co-Developer has an identity of interest or a Controlling Interest.
Research means a systematic investigation, including research development, testing and evaluation, designed to develop or contribute to generalizable knowledge. Activities which meet this definition constitute research for purposes of this policy, whether or not they are conducted or supported under a program which is considered research for other purposes. For example, some demonstration and service programs may include research activities.
Commercialization means any and all activities directed to the preparation for sale of, offering for sale of, or sale of a Product, including activities related to marketing, promoting, distributing, and importing such Product, and interacting with Regulatory Authorities regarding any of the foregoing. When used as a verb, “to Commercialize” and “Commercializing” means to engage in Commercialization, and “Commercialized” has a corresponding meaning.
Substantial development means any development of which the total cost or fair market value exceeds two thousand five hundred dollars, or any development which materially interferes with the normal public use of the water or shorelines of the state; except that the following shall not be considered substantial developments for the purpose of this chapter:
Existing development means development, other than that associated with agricultural or forest management activities, that meets one of the following criteria:
municipal spatial development framework means a municipal spatial development framework adopted by the Municipality in terms of Chapter 5 of the Municipal Systems Act;
Medical Affairs Activities means activities designed to ensure or improve appropriate medical use of, conduct medical education of, or further research regarding, a Product sold in the Territory, including by way of example: (a) customary activities of medical science liaisons; (b) grants to support continuing medical education, symposia, or Third Party research related to a Product in the Territory; (c) development, publication and dissemination of publications relating to a Product in the Territory; (d) medical information services provided in response to inquiries communicated via sales representatives or received by letter, phone call or email; (e) conducting advisory board meetings or other consultant programs; and (f) establishment and implementation of risk, evaluation and mitigation and strategies (REMS); provided that, for purposes of cost allocation provisions under this Agreement, Medical Affairs Activities shall not include the conduct of Clinical Trials.
Economic development project or "project" means the provision of direct or indirect assistance to a qualifying entity by a local or regional government and includes the purchase, lease, grant, construction, reconstruction, improvement or other acquisition or conveyance of land, buildings or other infrastructure; public works improvements essential to the location or expansion of a qualifying entity; payments for professional services contracts necessary for local or regional governments to implement a plan or project; the provision of direct loans or grants for land, buildings or infrastructure; technical assistance to cultural facilities; loan guarantees securing the cost of land, buildings or infrastructure in an amount not to exceed the revenue that may be derived from the municipal infrastructure gross receipts tax or the county infrastructure gross receipts tax; grants for public works infrastructure improvements essential to the location or expansion of a qualifying entity; grants or subsidies to cultural facilities; purchase of land for a publicly held industrial park or a publicly owned cultural facility; and the construction of a building for use by a qualifying entity;
Residential development means lands, buildings or structures developed or to be developed for residential use;
Design Development Documents means the Drawings, Specifications and other documents prepared by the Trade Contractor that establish and describe the size and character of the Trade Contractor Work as to architectural, civil, structural, mechanical and electrical systems, graphics and signage, and other elements, and which include typical construction details, equipment layouts and specifications that identify major materials and systems.
